European Parliament - 24 September, Bruxelles

CARE International's Secretary General, Dr. Robert Glasser, spoke with Members of the European Parliament at a high level event in Bruxelles and asked them to support the inclusion of forest credits in the EU carbon markets. Dr. Glasser explained the importance of setting standards prior to becoming operational. The event will made the case for forest credits prior to the vote on several legislative proposals on emissions allowance and reductions scheduled for early October.
