PECCN is excited to announce that two short-listed films out of 10 in the Development and Climate Days Film Competition 2011 are films made by CARE.

'Powerful Hands' shows how the people we work with around the world are 'agents of change' in a changing climate.

 

'Women Power in Overcoming the Impact of Drought' higlights women from Nanighi Community in North Eastern Kenya, who tell their story about cliamte change impacts and coping strategies. They are working with the Adaptation Learning Programme in Africa, a CARE initiative.


Entries will be screened in Durban, chosen by a panel of high level international judges. The winner will receive a Panasonic Lumix GH2 Digital Camera and a Rode Videomic Video Microphone. The winning film will be announced at the D&C conference at COP17 in Durban, South Africa, 4 December 2011.
