CARE International's Poverty, Environment and Climate Change Network (PECCN) is a CARE-led 'community of practice' with a secretariat and global membership. It consists of hundreds of professionals from CARE and partner organisations committed to addressing the challenges of environmental change from the perspective of the world's poorest and most vulnerable people.

PECCN is especially focused on reducing the negative impacts of climate change by transforming policies, institutions and practices that currently obstruct poor people's ability to adapt, and working with rural community members to improve their livelihoods through better management and governance of natural resources.

The Network operates globally but with a focus on developing countries. One of the Network's key strengths is its ability to forge collaborative relationships between, and distil lessons from CARE staff members and partners working around the world.
